Things you never knew about me...

1.  I love baking and cooking.  Actually, those who know me well, already know this.
2.  I love my dog (to pieces, but with mixed emotions)
3.  I'm at wits end dealing with my young son's illnesses.  Time to deal with it (or a lack thereof) is a huge factor in my stress
4.  I don't love my job.  I wish I did, but jobs that we love enough to really sink our teeth into are few and far between.  I do my work, try my best, and go home.
5.  I don't love shopping.  I try to get in and out, and hopefully without having to say a fake 'Hello' to equally fake salesgirl
6.  Want to run away and go live in the hills.  Preferably still close enough to a Tim Horton's, Superstore, Michael's, and movie theatre
7.  I hate tech toys ie: cell phones.  There's probably a link between tech toys and: global warming, the rising debt of personal finances, peoples' ability to be stupid faster
8.  I used to have a sense of humour but getting married cured me of that.
9.  I wish I had more time for cross stitch, and to take up quilting
10.  I love historical fiction and British detective shows and Marian Keyes
11.  I used to want to travel the world, but it has its own pros and cons, doesn't it?
12.  Why, in a city of almost a million people, are there only 1 maybe 2 psychologists that deal with adult anxiety?
13.  I wanted to raise smart, well-balanced, successful kids.  I had no idea how challenging that could be or what obstacles I could face.
14.  So much for a more flexible, family-friendly work environment for the 21st century.  We're no better off than 30 years ago.
15.  Success at dog training could be directly linked to successful child rearing.  Time will tell
16.  I enjoy cooking, baking, doing crafts, going to play places, shopping for my kids.  They say that one day, probably at the onset of their puberty, it will all stop
17.  I wonder how many people out there don't like their mothers/fathers and choose to disassociate themselves from them...kind of like birds once they leave the nest.
18.  I wonder how many people out there would have been better success at life if they had had the right councelling/medication at a young age
19.  I like top hits from the 60's to the 80's like on Vinyl 95.3
20.  I don't like loud, aggressive people, or suck-ups, and spineless dweebs
21.  I don't play well with others
22.  I love goldendoodles, scruffy looking terriers (not sure of spec. breed), floppy eared hairy mutts, quiet large dogs with big soulfull eyes
23.  I love children's art
24.  I wish I could foster all the unhappy, unloved children/babies on the planet.
25.  I don't like scary movies
26.  I wish I could laugh again
27.  If I could go back to school (and be 20 again of course), I think I would take journalism.  My mother says the same thing.
28.

Should people in the military with young children be allowed to serve overseas in hostile territories?
